Wedding Planning, Part 1

This past weekend, I realized that I’ve been holding out on you… I haven’t blogged about my wedding planning process yet!

From the beginning, I knew I wanted to be a very hands-on, do-it-myself bride.  With Kyle being in Australia throughout our engagement, I knew I would have plenty of time to occupy myself–so, why not fill it with crafts! :)  Though I by no means claim to have skills as a graphic designer, I have always had a keen sense of fashion/design/what looks good; thus, I decided to hand-craft all of our invitations, menus, programs, etc.  Some days it feels like such a daunting task!  Luckily, I have time on my side and can take things slowly.

Without giving too much away, here’s a picture of one of my wedding day accessories…

This gorgeous ring was recently given to me by my grandma.  She remembered that I was going with “eggplant” as our main color and wanted to share this piece with me.  Isn’t it beautiful?!

I’m so thankful for all the love and support throughout this whole process!

If you’d like to keep up with ideas I’m adapting for our wedding, follow my Pinterest board… or check back in a couple months when I update you again!:)
