So, it’s April 15th & like a good accountant, I’ve put off finishing my taxes until now. ;) Ha! Well, that’s if I actually get around to it today. (I just did a Google search and discovered I still have 2 days to finish! Woot!)
Instead, here’s a list of what I’ve found to be more important on this fine Sunday afternoon…
–Sleeping in
–Making & eating a batch of homemade Chex Mix
–Watching the first 2 seasons of “How I Met Your Mother”
–Having a wedding crafting party with my roommate & little sis
–Looking & re-looking at our engagement photos. I am slightly (okay, EXTREMELY) obsessed/in love with all of them & can’t wait to turn my apartment into a bobbi+mike gallery!
–Coordinating my wedding rehearsal outfit (Yes, I realize it’s still 4 months away. Don’t judge.)
Here’s a sneak peek of my bouquet…

I’m so proud of this! After a few trials & errors, I finally figured out how to make my own brooch bouquet. Thank you to Mom, Grandma Joy, Grandma Bryan and Jeannette for contributing the gorgeous sparklies! Also, a very special thank you to my namesake for letting me have one of Grandpa Paul’s last combs to use as the handle. I’m so thankful for your generosity & that a part of each of you will be walking down the aisle with me.![]()
Quick story: Growing up, I remember my Grandpa Paul always having a comb in his back pocket. Naturally (because I can be a little mischievous), I thought it was a hysterical game to sneak by & swipe his comb, then run away quickly to hide it. This game went on for years. In fact, I remember being 18 and still using my ninja-like skills to swipe the comb. Now that Grandpa Paul is living in Heaven, I couldn’t think of a better way to incorporate his spirit into our ceremony.
Hope you all had a great weekend, too! I should probably suck it up & finish those taxes now. Sigh…
