  • G’day! My name is Rebecca Joy.

Some call me Rebecca, others "Becks," & my Dad lovingly refers to me as "Beckaroo." Take your pick! When I'm not behind my camera or working my day job (I double as an accountant), you can find me at the beach, snuggling up with my furbaby or learning to be a domestic diva.

I love being married, photographing you getting married, and being able to tell your story after the vows.

Thank you for stopping by & I can't wait to meet you!

8 more days was my last post?!?  I bet some of you are wondering if the wedding happened and to where I disappeared for the past 5 months.

To answer your questions: YES!!! and Australia!  I’ll be writing soon about what we’ve been up to Down Under, but first things first: THE WEDDING!!!:D:D:D

Our wedding day was by far my favorite to date!  Everything turned out to be so beautiful–and all of those DIY projects ended up being worth it.  My #1 bit of advice for those of you who are busy planning your big day– Choose vendors you trust (& who are awesome!).  Knowing that I had a great team taking care of everything allowed me to have a worry-free day.  Bit of advice #2… hand-making your invites is for the birds!;)

Here are a few (okay, more than a few) of my favorite photos from the day…

(all photos were taken by the coolest duo I know, bobbi+mike)

This gorgeous dress hanger is from LilaFrances.

Bliiiiiiiiing!  (The shoes are Enzo Angiolini)

Spending a few moments before walking down the aisle with Grandma Joy…

My dad is the sweetest.

Are those tears I see, Goodwin?!  (he insisted that he wouldn’t cry when I walked down the aisle)

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! WE’RE MARRIED!!!!!

Our getaway ride, the Boilermaker Special

Clearly, I’m only friends with pretty people.;)  But seriously… aren’t they stunning?!?

I have to give credit where credit is due–Kyle picked out the men’s outfits without any guidance from me.  I must say, he did a great job because these guys are lookin’ fiiiiiiiiiiine!;)

Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the floor.  Daaaaaaaamn, my husband is sexy!

Party time!

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house for dad’s speech…

Best MOH “speech” ever!  My sisters wrote & sang a song on ukelele for me.  They are seriously the coolest.

This is one of my absolute, all-time favorite images from the day…

If you would like to see what bobbi+mike had to say about our day (and maybe see some pics I didn’t post here), check out their blog.

Holy smokes, only 8 more days until I become a Mrs.!!!  :D

So many things have been going on these past few weeks, I thought I would share some of my latest wedding updates…

I picked out & purchased our adorable Kate Spade serving set!  I also ordered the cutest die-cut photo booth props from my friend Lindsay at Lindenlime.

Made the infamous toss bouquet, complete with a tracking device that will transport it from my hands to my BFF since pre-school’s!  Okay, maybe it’s not that fancy, but I like to threaten Maire that the bouquet is coming her way.;) Also, started working on our yarn-wrapped initials.  Not quite sure what I’m doing with them yet, but they’re turning out oh-so-cute!

Bought & started breaking in my fancy wedding shoes!  They’re so sparkly, I could die!

Lastly, today’s project: the programs!  I designed them myself in Photoshop and was lucky enough to receive help from my MOH & the roomie with assembly.  So happy with how these turned out!

I’ll try to keep you all posted with our wedding goings-on… but if you don’t hear from me before the big day, wish me luck with getting everything done on time!:)

Happy Friday, friends!
